This is the clean that happens once, after the trades have finished and before anyone moves in — not the ongoing site tidy-up during a build (that's our separate construction site cleaning service). Post-construction cleaning gets a finished build or renovation from "just built" to move-in ready, from $263.35 including GST. WHY CONSTRUCTION DUST IS DIFFERENT FROM HOUSE DUST Fine plaster and sanding dust doesn't sit on surfaces the way normal household dust does — it works into door tracks, light fittings, extraction fans, and settles back out of the air for days after the last trade has left. A single wipe-down misses most of it. We clean top-to-bottom — ceilings and light fittings first, then walls and fixtures, then floors last — so dust dislodged from higher surfaces doesn't recontaminate work already done below it. NEW FIXTURES NEED A DIFFERENT TOUCH THAN USED ONES Brand new benchtops, appliances, tapware and joinery carry manufacturer protective film, installation fingerprints, and silicone or adhesive smears from the trades who fitted them — not the grease and buildup you'd find in an existing home. Removing this without scratching a brand-new surface takes different products and technique to a standard deep clean, and it's the difference between a benchtop that looks new and one that looks used on day one. TIMBER, TILE, CARPET, VINYL — EACH FLOOR GETS ITS OWN TREATMENT New floors are also the most expensive surface to damage with the wrong cleaning approach. Timber and engineered flooring need dust and residue removed without excess moisture; tile needs grout lines cleared of grout haze and construction residue; new carpet needs a thorough vacuum rather than any wet cleaning; vinyl and laminate need product residue removed without scratching.
